Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) are trained as primary care physicians in natural therapeutics and whose philosophy is derived in part from a Hippocratic teaching more than 2000 years old: Vis medicatrix naturae- "nature is the healer of all diseases".

This service is only available to established patients who have gone through an initial visit with Dr. Barrett.* It is crucial to fully understand your health history and symptoms before working together on nutrigenomics. Your genetics are just one piece of the puzzle and in order to receive the best care we must evaluate you as a whole person and not just your genetics. This appointment (60 minutes) requires that Dr. Barrett receive your raw genetic data from services such as 23andme at least 1 week prior to the visit. Dr. Barrett will use this data to generate a personalized report that will look at markers including MTHFR, methylation overview, phase 1 and 2 detoxification, mitochondrial function, immune function, eye health, thyroid health, diabetes risk and much more. Dr. Barrett will walk you through the analysis and help you determine lifestyle, dietary and supplement interventions based on your symptoms and results.
* If you are already receiving comprehensive care from another provider and only want help interpreting your raw data please schedule a free phone consultation to discuss your situation with Dr. Barrett.

Well Child Visit
Naturopathic medicine can foster positive and lasting change in your child's health by removing limiting factors, ensuring proper nutrition, using gentle, immune-strengthening therapies and reducing the need for drugs. When children are as healthy as they can be, they are able to grow to their fullest potential - physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.
Because they grow and change so quickly, well-child visits are an important part of your child's healthcare. While you are the person most tuned in to your child, the doctor is trained to recognize specific problems with growth and development. This gives you the best opportunity to make changes early and help your child reach their potential. Well-child visits (60 minutes) are a great example of the holistic ideal of preventative care.
Constitutional Hydrotherapy is the application of hot and cold compresses to the chest, abdomen and back. This hands-on service (60 minutes) utilizes the basic mechanical effects to influence the quantity of blood flowing through a given tissue. Circulation is enhanced through the organs of elimination to enhance the immune response, improve overall nutrition to tissues, promote detoxification and restore nervous equilibrium.
