The Mindfulness & Self Compassion group is well worth the risk--the risk of showing up, being vulnerable, looking inside yourself, and connecting with others. As a result of this group I am more aware and accepting of who I am, an delighted by my growing capacity for living a conscious life with a focus on self care and compassion. Anna Roth creates a safe space for exploration and dialogue, with lots of support and room for humor. This has been a very life giving experience that I highly recommend to others.
Hard on yourself? Self-critical? Perfectionistic? Giving to everyone except yourself? If you answered yes to any of the above, this small group experience is for you. Fostering self-compassion is one of the most important practices you can develop whether you are struggling with every-day life stressors, a difficult job, chronic illness, or a harsh internal critic. In this group you will learn "the how and the why” of self-compassion and mindfulness practice in a warm and supportive group. Group capacity is 10 and this group fills quickly!
Dates: May 16th, 30th; June 13th, 27th; July 11th and 25th
Times: You can register for either the 5:30 PM or 7:30 PM offering.
Registration deadline May 1st
Dr. Anna will present and teach on a new topic for the first 30 minutes of the group, and the last 60 will be a guided group discussion around the given topic. Examples of topics covered in the series are: Self-Compassion 101, Nourishment & Self-Care, Boundaries: Honoring Our Limits, Embodiment & Identifying Feelings, Owning Your No & Assertiveness Training, Perfectionism & Shame, Letting Go & Radical Acceptance, Confidence & Personal Power, Self-Leadership: Working with Parts, and Compassionate Living from the Inside Out.
You will receive a measure of your self-compassion at the beginning and end of the series, educational handouts and readings, many concrete skills related to the topics above to implement and practice, and most importantly lots of support and encouragement!
Please feel free to contact Dr. Anna with questions or concerns via email at or by phone at (651) 309-7907.
Signing up for the Mindfulness & Self Compassion group with Dr. Roth felt like a leap of faith. I didn’t really know what mindfulness was outside of meditation and “being present” and self-compassion was just a way to say it’s ok to not be perfect. The group experience was new for me as well. After almost 3 months in the bi-weekly program I feel a greater sense of self, of who I am and how I can better take care of myself. Mindfulness and self compassion, self-care, is a process. It is messy and full of laughter. It doesn’t always feel right or particularly successful. The support I received from my group has helped me work through this process, get comfortable with the discomfort and celebrate the changes. I would recommend this workshop for any woman ready for change and support in claiming her self.
