I am continually inspired and amazed at the potential of our bodies. I am a Chiropractic Doctor (DC) and have been practicing since 2015. I believe in addressing the source of the issue, not just the symptom, and my goal is to empower others to take control of their health. I understand that everyone has a different path to wellness and I enjoy supporting where you are at in that journey! My philosophy of care is bringing health back to the basics and approaching with a holistic mindset. I utilize a combination of techniques for adjustments, always individualizing the technique to each patient’s condition and comfort.
My passion resides in supporting women prior to conception, throughout pregnancy and into postpartum to promote healthy mamas and babies. This special time of vast transitions requires a village of support and I am honored to be a part of that care team. I promote the importance of supporting the mother throughout their pregnancy not only to improve comfort, but to work towards their birth goals; and then meeting the little one after! I have advanced training in chiropractic for pregnancy and pediatrics, perinatal mental health, craniosacral therapy for infants and pregnancy, and evaluation and rehabilitation of tethered oral tissues (lip and tongue ties) in infants. I am certified in the Webster Technique to optimize pelvic positioning throughout pregnancy.

The word ‘chiropractic’ comes from the Greek words cheir (meaning ‘hand’) and praktos (meaning ‘done’), i.e. Done by Hand. Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.
One of the most common and well-known therapeutic procedures performed by doctors of chiropractic is spinal manipulation (sometimes referred to as a "chiropractic adjustment"). The purpose of spinal manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile – or restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury. Tissue injury can be caused by a single traumatic event, such as improper lifting of a heavy object, or through repetitive stresses, such as sitting in an awkward position with poor spinal posture for an extended period of time. In either case, injured tissues undergo physical and chemical changes that can cause inflammation, pain, and diminished function for an individual. Manipulation, or adjustment of the affected joint and tissues, restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, allowing tissues to heal.

Techniques
Dr. Jillian provides a variety of chiropractic adjustment techniques to best suit your current condition and preference. Our adjustments are individually designed for patients of all ages, including the gentlest approach for children’s care. The following modalities may be offered in addition to an adjustment:
- Muscle and Fascia Release: Manual therapy used to eliminate pain and restore motion
- Craniosacral Therapy: A light-touch approach to release restrictions and improve circulation in the craniosacral system
- Rock Tape Application: Relieves swelling through decompression which speeds recovery and increases awareness of your body position to help you maintain proper posture and form
- Manual Adjustment
- Instrumental Adjusting (Activator)
- Drop-Piece/Thompson
- Webster Technique: The Webster Technique is most commonly associated with pregnancy care, but can be utilized with any patient. This technique consists of a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment. The goal of this technique is to restore balance and function in the pelvis and surrounding tissues; and specifically during pregnancy to support a more comfortable, safer and easier birth.
