Jen Myers-Jones, LAC
It's inspiring to see the changes that occur with acupuncture and fire cupping. The mysteries of the human body and its potential to heal are wondrous things.
My Acupuncture practice focuses on you and your health. While I like to work with people who have pain in joints, fertility and women’s health issues, I really have a broad knowledge of many health issues. I believe that Acupuncture can be a great adjunct healthcare to your General Practitioner and Western healthcare with its detailed diagnostic tools.
I create a treatment plan for each patient, after having gone through an extensive health history with all your symptoms and diagnosis. Traditional Chinese Medicine looks at your whole health. I will look at your tongue and feel your radial pulses as part of my examination. I will ask awkward questions about your body’s functions in such detail that you may not have been asked before. These details are part of the diagnostic tools that help me see you as a person, and your health as a product of genetics and lifestyle choices. I hope to inspire you to take initiatives with your health and healing, while giving you a rejuvenating treatment. As the healer, I share your journey, but anticipate that you will be prepared to do your part. I am passionate about guiding you along your healing path.
After placing sterile needles in the acupuncture points, you will rest for 20 minutes. Usually patients meditate or fall gently to sleep while resting. Gentle movement won’t disturb the needles. After pulling the needles out, I will frequent ask the patients if they would like Fire Cupping. This can be compared to a lovely deep tissue massage across your back. I generally suggest 5-8 treatments for each patient. If you have a chronic health issue we can adjust your treatment plan accordingly.
